DBF field settings

If a shape file is opened with an associated DBF file in the same directory, then ShapeToDxf will load the DBF file too. It will show you the fields available in the right hand side of the main settings dialog.

For each field (sometimes known as column name) you can set if the field is an elevation, and whether you want to put data from field into the DXF file. To do that

 

1.Check Add These Values As Text.
2.Choose a layer name (not 0 else things get confusing).
3.Choose a layer color.
4.Choose text height.

 

Different fields can have different layers and heights. Here is an example where I've chosen 4 columns in the DBF file to be exported to the DXF file:
